A 70/M presented with acute abdomen, and imaging had shown a perforated liver abscess for which he underwent laparoscopic drainage . completed a full course of antibiotics post-operatively and made a complete recovery.

NB:The mortality rate for ruptured liver abscess is around 40-50%
